I BELIEVE IN COLOR.

This is my first offical comissioned painting. It was for a friend of mine. The main focus of this painting is the dog, of course, it is based off of Jeff's German Shepard who has recently passed away.

These three paintings I just happen to hate! I am not they type of girl that is full of country charm. Inspite of that fact I was asked by a friend to create these. I hope they are not as bad as I think they are.

Vincet Van Gogh is one of my all time favorite artist. So when a coworker asked me to recreate Stary Night; I was not only excited but also scared!!!! There is nothing like Van Gogh's texture. Oh...this is a unfinished photo of the painting.

To my artistic dismay a coworker of mine came to me wanting a realistic painting of Wyoming. The first was an attempt...ok ok...I did about 3 other paintings before this one...I hate hate hate it. So I created the 2nd one. Which I just happen to be in love with.

I like to call this techinque "Wordalism". It is just like Pointalism except I use words. I like to include it into all my art nowadays. It takes forever to hand write the poems or the lyrics but the end product is so much more special.

This painting is almost as tall as I am...and sense my apartment is soooo small and I could get high enough to get the whole thing in one shot...so i broke in down into 3 photos. It is a peacock. Nothing special just a decorative painting.

I am a lover of a good quote. Therefore I made a quote board of love. It is not just romatic love it is all love. Love make the world go round.

Marnie wanted some paintings for her college apartment. Her favorite flower is daisies...We collaborated and decided that we wanted to brake down with the flower.

A Commissioned Artist.

I am now a commissioned artist, which just happens to be a HUGE deal for me. Through out my art career, a career of about 3 years, I have never really had anyone request a painting from me. But now ever sense one of my friends requested I did a painting for him things have changed. This painting was an impressionistic painting of what I thought of him. And honestly knowing him then and now, I think I would do the painting differently. But that is because I am simply a perfectionist. And that was the start of it all…Now I have several requested and four on order…before Christmas. Today just happens to be the 19th of December. So today instead of doing the thousands of other things I could being doing, I am staying home and painting. Sitting on my bed, watching a movie, and painting, this is simple perfection. And sense I am on a new journey of painting not for myself but for others….others that are paying for it…I have decided to let the world be involved in my attempt of progression. The four I have to complete before Christmas are a set of three corresponding paintings of country chickens, and a realistic painting of Wyoming. To begin to explain my views of art…I am a lover of the feeling of art. It does not have to be pretty or good…it just has to make me feel something. So I would prefer for my art to have some feeling in them. But of course I am compromising, I am currently painting decorative paintings of chickens. I don’t mean to sound belittling or above decorative painting, it’s just a simple lack of ambition. But now I have 1 and ¾ paintings completed and one to go…But these paintings are fun, full of color and sunshine. Then lastly we have the dreaded painting of Wyoming. I do currently live in Wyoming but there is a lack of inspiration. So everyday as I drive the hour long drive to and from work I watch the world around me trying to find the thing that I want to put on a canvas. Simply, I have not found that one thing. But I will paint and I will paint Wyoming. I will try to keep you updated.
